SEC Review Week 6

Saturday, October 10, 2026

All results final · AP poll released October 11 · Updated October 12

Tennessee got out of Fayetteville with the win. Elsewhere, the SEC rearranged some furniture: Texas lost its No. 1 ranking, Georgia took it, and Kentucky gave LSU another reason to worry.

The Vols are 5–1, 2–1 in the league and No. 14 in the new AP poll. Alabama remains No. 6. That puts two teams looking for a more complete performance across from each other at Neyland next Saturday.

What It Means for Tennessee

Saturday brought a road win and a reminder that good defense cannot cover every offensive mistake forever. Alabama is the next examination. Tennessee needs the best parts of MacIntyre’s finish, Bishop’s running and the defense’s decisive stops to arrive together.
