Ole Miss owned the loudest result, beating No. 7 LSU 32-24 in Oxford. Kentucky supplied the upset, walking into College Station and handing No. 9 Texas A&M a 31-21 loss. Mississippi State joined the early SEC leaders by surviving South Carolina.
Tennessee took the less dramatic route. The Vols ran for 268 yards, kept Kennesaw State out of the end zone and reached Texas week at 3-0. Sometimes the best Saturday is the one that gives you nothing to explain on Sunday.
